The Mexico–United States land corridor under USMCA, explained

What tariff preference means, which documents the rule of origin requires and where it pays to cross depending on your product.

USMCA allows most Mexican goods to enter the United States and Canada duty-free, as long as they meet the rule of origin and prove it with a certification of origin.

The most used crossings are Nuevo Laredo (industry and bulk), Tijuana (fresh produce from the northwest) and Ciudad Juárez (manufacturing). The choice depends on where the cargo comes from, the type of product and how congested the bridge is in season.

PlentiFrut coordinates the truck, the customs broker on both sides and transloading when it lowers the cost.
